Paul Pogba could make his Manchester United return against Chelsea on November 5th, according to L’Equipe, per the IB Times.
Jose Mourinho has been without his star man since mid-September when the Red Devils hosted Basel in their Champions League opener, and it’s fair to say things have looked an awful lot tougher without the superstar Frenchman.
At the start of the campaign, Pogba was in scintillating form. He was at the heart of everything good about our attacking play, and losing him for a prolonged period of time has certainly affected things on the turf.
On top of that, though, we’ve also been without Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick, leaving Mourinho with a lack of options in such an integral area of the field.
To hear that he’s closing in on a return is massive. Although, I’d hope that United will be sensible enough to not rush him back. We have to remember that after the Chelsea game, there is an international break, which would give him another fortnight to get himself fighting fit for the hectic winter schedule.
The last thing we’d need is him to be jetting off to France to play for his country after only just returning from injury…
