Manchester United plan moves for Bundesliga trio this summer

Manchester United are clearly planning for a hectic summer in terms of transfers, with Louis van Gaal wanting to invest further in order to enhance a playing squad that certainly needs work. The groundwork for major moves is already being laid down, and Bild say United are planning some major moves in Germany.

The paper say that Louis van Gaal is eyeing three Bayer Leverkusen players, as United have reportedly watched Karim Bellarabi, Ömar Toprak and Hakan Calhanoglu at times this season.

All three would certainly add something to our starting line-up, despite all playing in different areas of the field. Toprak is a towering centre-back who’d bring leadership to the back four. Bellarabi is a fantastic speedster capable of causing a massive threat on the right wing whereas Calhanoglu is regarded as one of the hottest talents in the game at the moment – with a deadly free-kick.

Leverkusen certainly won’t be willing to lose three of their key stars in one transfer window, and United would certainly have to pay through the roof to land one or two of these men, so Edward Woodward will have to be prepared to splash the cash.
