Manchester United have got their man. Paul Pogba has returned to the club on a long-term contract for a world record fee. The 23-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the option for a sixth season if all goes swimmingly, and as you’d imagine, Twitter went into meltdown.
Fans of Manchester United were obviously overjoyed at sealing a deal for one of the best midfielders on the planet for whatever the cost. On the flip side, rivals were clearly bitter about the deal, pointing to an astronomical transfer fee in which United overpaid.
At the end of the day, the deal is done and it is up to Pogba to let his feet do the talking. We’re signing a player who isn’t even at his peak yet, but is already one of the best in the business. We’ve certainly got an exciting few years ahead watching this man develop and grow.
