Manchester United moved up to the dizzy heights of fourth place today, after other results went their way and they managed to overcome Everton in a slender 2-1 victory. A debut goal from Radamel Falcao, and another exquisite finish from Angel Di Maria gave United all three points – however David de Gea simply stole the show.
Our Spanish keeper was absolutely sublime today. He saved Leighton Baines’ penalty, and made a couple of absolutely world class saves late on to ensure United grabbed their second successive victory at home.
After the game, a whole host of players have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts:
Wow @D_DeGea was unbelievable today! Thank you my friend for the penalty save ❤️
