Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has had a very poor start to the season for his side, particularly in the bread and butter that is the Premier League. Many fans are calling for the club captain to be dropped, but it looks as though Louis van Gaal could well do one better.
According to reports coming out of Italy, Louis van Gaal sees Juventus’ Paulo Dybala as a long-term successor to Wayne Rooney, and could well bid for the young striker next summer.
The 21-year old only joined the Turin side this summer, and there is no doubting that Louis van Gaal would have to splash a considerable amount of money to tempt Juventus into parting with the striker.
I still stand by the motive that United need proven quality rather than talent at this moment in time, particularly if the club are going to challenge for major honours over the next year or two.
