Manchester United plotting big-money move for La Liga playmaker: report

Manchester United Football Club is plotting a huge money to sign Real Madrid star Isco, according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, per the Daily Star.

The report claims that Jose Mourinho is weighing up a huge £133million to sign the Spaniard, who is under contract until 2022 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the Red Devils should expect to face stiff competition to sign the superstar 25-year-old, with Manchester City also keen on acquiring his services.

If any move were to go through, Don Balon reckon that United would have to give him a weekly wage similar to Paul Pogba’s, placing him amongst the highest earners in the country.

I love Isco and I think he’d be a phenomenal addition to any side on the planet. However, it’d probably mean at least one attacking player would have to leave to accommodate him. Perhaps Juan Mata?

Then you have to work out how he’d fit into the team. In the current system, you’d imagine Isco would play at the #10 in place of Jesse Lingard with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic behind him, but once again, that formation doesn’t suit the Frenchman as it means he’ll have to track back and be limited in his attack…
