Manchester United prepared to make David de Gea the highest paid keeper in the world

Manchester United are preparing to offer David de Gea a new Manchester United contract that’ll make him the highest paid goalkeeper in world football, according to The Sun. The total value is set to be worth £36million over the reported five years, meaning De Gea will be taking home a nice £140,000-a-week.

For me, David de Gea is worth every single penny. There is no doubt that his stature in the game is on the rise with each passing week, and the young Spaniard has definitely come a long way since when he first arrived at the club.

Many mocked him, not calling him worthy of wearing that famous United jersey, but after toning up and working with some of the finest goalkeeping coaches in the game, David de Gea is without doubt one of the best in the world.

We simply have to give him whatever he wants and get him tied down to a new deal ASAP. Hopefully this shouldn’t be a problem, because he seems to love the club and love the city, and the sooner this is done the better it’ll be for all involved.
