Manchester United prepared to offer world class striker £11million a year – report

Louis van Gaal’s position as manager is coming under increasing pressure and scrutiny from the fans at this point in time, with the gaffer struggling to get any positive result over the last few games. The January transfer window is almost upon us, and this could be a good opportunity for the Iron Tulip.

If he brings the right players in, United could turn their fortunes around and somehow save their season with some form of silverware come May. Reports coming out of SportBild say that Manchester United are willing to offer Robert Lewandowski a huge £11million-a-year contract to switch Bavaria for Old Trafford, to secure that guaranteed 20-goal-a-season striker.

The Pole is one of the best all-round forwards in world football. He scores goals for fun, his hold-up play is superb and he is a great team player. The stumbling block would certainly be the fee with Bayern Munich, and they’d probably expect a bid of at least £40-50million to part with one of their most prized assets.
