Manchester United are ready to battle Chelsea for the signature of Arturo Vidal, according to top Chilean journalist, Maks Cardenas, translated by The Sun.
Apparently, 30-year-old Vidal could be on his way out of Bayern Munich this summer, with just eighteen months left on his current contract. Now the aforementioned reports are suggesting that both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte want to sign the former Juventus man.
Vidal is a cracking footballer and midfield is an area where United could well need a new signing come the end of the season. Both Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick haven’t signed new deals and they’ll obviously need to be replaced.
While at Juventus alongside Paul Pogba, it was a duo that was arguably the best in the world at the time, with a little help from Andrea Pirlo, of course. To see that pairing reunited at Old Trafford would be great, and also getting a one-up on Chelsea would be pretty fun, too.
It’s strange, we’ve never had a Chilean play for United and now we could be getting two in the space of six months following Alexis Sanchez’s arrival. I’m not complaining, mind, both are cracking players.
