Manchester United ready to accept £40million to let superstar leave: report

Manchester United Football Club would be willing to let Anthony Martial join Juventus in a deal worth £40million.

That’s according to The Mirror, per The Metro, who says that Jose Mourinho wants Willian as a replacement; who has a similar £40million market value.

Apparently, United chiefs are said to have concerns regarding Martial, who put in another poor performance against Brighton on Friday night. You have to say the Frenchman wasn’t anywhere near his best for the Red Devils last time out, but that’s what a lack of playing time will do to you…

Scoring one goal in 2018 just isn’t good enough for a player of Martial’s calibre and that simply has to improve. My fear is that the damage has already been done and Mourinho’s mind has been made up.

Next season, I think it’s pretty clear that Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku will be United’s go-to attackers and there isn’t space for everyone.

We do need a right-winger and no doubt Willian would be a wonderful signing. It’s certainly going to be intriguing to see how this one plays out…
