Manchester United have already made a couple of big-name sales during this transfer window, with Jose Mourinho choosing to move on both Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay, who really struggled to implement their game and style at Old Trafford.
There has been very little activity in the way of players coming into the Theatre of Dreams, but one man, in particular, seems to keep cropping up.
In an exclusive, the Daily Star say that Manchester United will make a decision on whether they want to sign Victor Lindelof during this transfer window by the end of the week.
The report says that Manchester United are ‘expected’ to complete a deal for Lindelof over the summer, but after those aforementioned big sales, the club is now in a position where they could splash the cash and bring him in during the mid-season window that shuts next week.
As we all know, it is notoriously tough to bring new players in during the season, because it becomes so much harder to get them on the same page as their new teammates.
In my opinion, I’d like to see us hold fire on this one and wait until the summer. We’re playing pretty well right now on the defensive side of things, and it does seem a bit daft to disrupt the flow and rhythm.
