Manchester United have already added Eric Bailly to the playing squad for next season, with Jose Mourinho clearly keen to bring in more faces. According to the latest reports coming out of Germany, Manchester United are ready to make their move for FC Basel’s Breel Embolo.
Mourinho won’t have it all his own way however, with recently promoted German side RB Leipzig have already tabled a £16million bid for the young striker, in an effort to bolster their squad.
The 19-year-old Swiss international made his breakthrough in the Basel squad back in 2014, and has since played over eighty games for his current club. He has also been acknowledged by Switzerland’s international side, whom he has 12 caps for already.
His goal ratio isn’t the greatest, but you can see why Jose Mourinho likes him. However, it would be an odd move to make as we already have an abundance of brilliant young strikers on our books at the moment, and that money would probably be better use elsewhere.
