Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Raphael Varane at Real Madrid, according to Le10Sport via the Daily Mirror. They say that the Frenchman is growing in frustrations as he is behind both Pepe and Sergio Ramos in the pecking order.
The 23-year old has been at Real Madrid since 2011, but has found his appearances limited ever since his arrival. Having been there for five years without making a breakthrough, it may be time for him to move on.
United would certainly be interested in bringing in Varane, but they are sure to face stern competition if he does choose to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
He has all the attributes and qualities to turn into one of the best centre-halves on the planet, but to achieve that, he needs to be playing week-in week-out.
His talents have also been noticed by the France national team despite being in and out of the side, and he has already featured 28 times for them.
