Manchester United and Jose Mourinho clearly aren’t hanging around in the transfer market this summer, and are looking to get key deals concluded early. That’s always been one of the traits of Jose, and you can see exactly why he likes to work that way.
Bringing players in as early as possible gives them plenty of time to settle into life in their new surroundings – and the club could be on the verge of another huge transfer.
Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol has quoted Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy, claiming that Manchester United would be willing to pay a world record £100million to land Paul Pogba.
What a stunning signing this would be. Solhekol goes on to add that Pogba would cost United £200,000-a-week in wages, which is a hell of a lot of money but you are getting a brilliant player.
It would be somewhat of a kick in the teeth, though. Let’s not forget that Sir Alex Ferguson chose to let Pogba leave on a free transfer just a few years ago, and to break the world record transfer fee to bring him back shows just how monumental of a mistake it was.
