Manchester United Football Club have been chasing that marquee signature since Louis van Gaal arrived at Old Trafford. Up until this point, that hasn’t happened, but with the big-money TV deal in the English game coming in next summer, that could tempt the stars to England.
The Daily Star say that Manchester United could be about to smash the world record transfer fee, by activating Neymar Jr’s £140million release clause, and bring him to the British Isles.
Neymar, 23, is loving life in Barcelona but contract talks are believed to have stalled due to tax issues in Spain. That means that if United time their approach correctly, and offer him enough money, his head could certainly be turned.
This is the best opportunity United have to land one of the best in the world, and if Edward Woodward gets his act together, we could well pull off one of the biggest transfer deals in history over the summer. Hopefully he can do it, and get United back on the map.
