Manchester United Football Club are sitting just outside of the top four at the moment, and that’s down to some poor performances and even worse results. A lack of goals could well be the issue, but Jose Mourinho is obviously intent on changing that – and is a drastic way.
The Daily Mirror say that Jose Mourinho has been alerted by a current contractual standoff between Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane, as the pair are yet to agree on a new deal for the 23-year-old.
Kane, who scored an impressive 25 league goals last term, would be a quite simply stunning addition if the move can happen next summer. The timing would be ideal, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn’t getting any younger, and we’d be getting Harry Kane for his best years.
However, Daniel Levy is notorious for his tough negotiating and there is no reason as to why that’d change here. Kane is their best player, and they aren’t going to let him go easily.
It’s also a possibility that the striker is using United’s interest to get a better contract at White Hart Lane. Don’t be surprised to learn that he put pen to paper on a new deal within a week or two.
