Manchester United receive massive double FA Cup injury boost

Manchester United have received some huge FA Cup injury news, with Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku both set to be fit for the Wembley Stadium showpiece.

That’s what The Sun says in an exclusive, giving the Red Devils a massive boost.

The pair both missed the Brighton game on Friday night with injuries. Lukaku had an ankle problem that he picked up against Arsenal in the match prior, whereas Sanchez has been nursing a minor groin problem.

I think it’s vital that both are ready to go for what will be our most important game this season. We saw just how toothless the United attack looked without them during the aforementioned Brighton game, and if we’re without them against a stern Chelsea defence, scoring goals would’ve been extremely tough.

Sanchez has massively impressed in the ‘big games’ since his arrival. He was outstanding against Spurs in the FA Cup semi-final, and his contributions during the second half of our Manchester derby win was just magnificent. Plus, he has a flawless record at Wembley.

With Lukaku, it’s more than just the goals. I look at his hold-up play and his ability to bring others into the game. That’s a hugely underrated part of football, and having him as a target man can only help our chances.
