Manchester United reluctant to meet Pedro’s release clause

Manchester United confirmed the sale of Angel di Maria yesterday, and the club will already be on the hunt for a replacement for the 27-year old Argentine. The name on every bodies lips at the moment is Pedro Rodriguez of FC Barcelona.

Pedro, 28, has a £22million release clause in his contract and he clearly wants a move to Old Trafford this summer.

However Manchester United are reluctant to meet that clause according to the Daily Mail, and value him at somewhere around the £17million mark.

In all honesty I think Louis van Gaal and Ed Woodward should just fork out the £22million and get this one done. He’d be an ideal replacement for Di Maria and his versatility is a huge bonus. We don’t want to waste time on this one and let someone else secure his services because we’d definitely regret it later.
