Manchester United sell striker to German side

Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez had a poor start to his season when he came on as a substitute against Club Brugge in Belgium in the midweek. As he missed a penalty due to a slip and squandered another superb chance late on.

Today, according to the reliable German media outlet Kicker, the Mexican striker has agreed to join Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent deal, and will seal that at some point today.

Whilst it would be a shame to see Javier Hernandez leave the club, you feel a move away for the Little Pea is in the best interests of all involved. Manchester United don’t want to keep an unhappy player at the club, whereas Hernandez himself is a player who needs regular game time.

For me that look between Louis van Gaal and Ryan Giggs when he missed that penalty said it all and sealed his fate. I just hope the club have left themselves enough time to bring in an adequate replacement.
