Manchester United send heartfelt message to Dortmund following explosion

Manchester United Football Club, unfortunately, know all about tragedy within sport, heck, the Munich disaster was just heartbreaking. Today out in Germany, a Champions League game had to be postponed after Borussia Dortmund’s team bus were hit by an explosion, as per the BBC.

The incident happened just an hour before their game against AS Monaco, with the report saying their bus had its glass broken and defender Marc Bartra has suffered a minor injury.

Shortly after the incident, Manchester United shown a touch of class with a simple tweet, in which the Red Devils offer their support to the German side after a real sad incident.

Have a look at the tweet here:

It’s unclear as to whether the explosion was targeted to hit the team bus, but there is absolutely no place for stuff like this in football and in life in general. It just puts a downer on things, and now their fans who’ll have travelled to the stadium will now have to find their way home, whilst being prepared to come back and do it all again tomorrow night.

Hopefully, this isn’t anything serious and it is more a safety precuation.

The game will now be played on Wednesday at 19:45 GMT.
