It seems as though the summer transfer window has only just slammed shut, but yet we’re peerlessly close to the hectic January window opening once again, and players will be switching clubs left, right and centre.
Manchester United’s planning for the winter transfer period is well underway, and according to the latest reports coming out of Portugal, the club had scouts at the Luxembourg vs Portugal clash that took place earlier this week.
O’Jogo go on to say that it is unclear on who Manchester United were looking at, but there are certainly a few options.
The obvious one would be Cristiano Ronaldo, but you feel that Manchester United wouldn’t really need to scout a player of his ability. Another potential candidate could be William Carvalho, the central midfielder who was thought to be high on United’s radar just over a year ago.
There is also players like Pepe, Ricardo Quaresma, Fabio Coentrao and Raul Meireles, but aside from that we’re really not sure…
