Manchester United are already rigorously planning for the upcoming summer transfer window, with the club clearly intent on spending big in the transfer market once again. However it may be hard to attract the top players without Champions League football on offer.
Two players Manchester United are reportedly eyeing are Joao Mario of Sporting Lisbon, and Leroy Sane, who currently plies his trade in the Bundesliga for Schalke.
The news comes from the usually reliable James Ducker, who tweeted about it earlier:
Told #mufc watched Joao Mario (Sporting Lisbon midfielder) and Leroy Sane (Schalke right winger, who #mcfc also like) again at weekend

Mario, 23, has been an ever-present in Lisbon’s starting line-up all season long in the centre of midfield. Plenty of the so-called larger clubs have been keeping tabs on the Portuguese international, and he could well be on the move this summer.
Leroy Sane is slightly younger at 20, and he plays in a more advanced role. The German has made his Schalke breakthrough this season and has been in a regular all year. Being so youthful he is only going to improve, and we all know just how well Manchester United love to develop young starlets.
