Manchester United sent scouts to huge Champions League clash

Manchester United’s summer transfer window was one of success, as Louis van Gaal managed to bring in some huge players in key areas, but the work of the Iron Tulip is far from complete as it seems he is already begun plotting for next summer.

According to the Portuguese media outlet O Jogo, Manchester United had scouts at the Galatasaray and SL Benfica game this midweek – but the name of the player(s) the club were looking at has not been revealed.

The obvious one would be Nicolas Gaitan, whom United have been linked with for pretty much every transfer window over the last few seasons. Another player who’s name always seems to crop up in relation to Old Trafford is Wesley Sneijder, but that ship has certainly sailed.

One man who would certainly offer the club something different is Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz. He’d be a fantastic addition to our front line which certainly needs some help. Aside from that it could be anyones guess as to whom exactly the club were watching intently.
