Manchester United dropped more points at home this afternoon, with the Red Devils once again slow out of the blocks, allowing West Ham an early lead within ninety seconds. Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic managed to head us level, the players couldn’t find a winner – largely thanks to some goalkeeping heroics.
Our sole strike came courtesy of an absolutely wonderful assist from Paul Pogba, but the Frenchman was also involved in an incident in which the referee accused him of diving…
The man with the whistle deemed Pogba’s simulation as a bookable offence, which was his fifth card of the season meaning he will miss Manchester United’s EFL Trophy game against West Ham on Wednesday due to suspension.
Manchester United confirmed the news via Twitter, and also added that Marouane Fellaini will be unavailable too, thanks to a late, needless card after a foul committed.

It really doesn’t help our case. Manchester United have been struggling for results, and Paul Pogba has been one of the shining lights. His creativity will be a big loss as we don’t really have another player like him in the squad.
As for Fellaini, the cup game could have been his big opportunity to force his way back into Jose’s plans – but now he’s likely to be even further down the pecking order in my opinion.
