Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs could be about to end a 29-year affiliation at Old Trafford, as he searches for some managerial experience elsewhere. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who say the Welshman will be replaced as an assistant manager by Portuguese coach, Rui Faria.
What a shame it would be to see Ryan Giggs leave. However, at this point in time you feel it is the best move for him. The 42-year-old has been heavily linked with the Nottingham Forest job, and that’d be a brilliant place for him to start.
You always felt that after the failed appointments of both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, it was always going to be tough for the club to take another gamble on the inexperienced Giggs. As we all know, that didn’t happen and Edward Woodward turned to Jose Mourinho.
Hopefully Giggsy can land a job at some point this summer and prove his worth, before coming back and making a real name for himself here at Manchester United once again.
