Manchester United Football Club could have just netted themselves around £6million, courtesy of Michael Keane’s impending transfer to Everton. That’s according to Sky Sports News reporter, Kaveh Solhekol.
Solhekol tweeted out that The Toffees are close to agreeing a £25million fee to sign the England international, but due to a 25% sell-on clause that Manchester United placed in his contract, the Red Devils are set to receive a hefty sum of money.

At one point, there were rumours floating around that Manchester United themselves were interested in bringing Michael Keane back to Old Trafford, but in the end that never materialised. Instead, Jose Mourinho opted to sign Victor Lindelof from SL Benfica.
In my personal opinion, I would have liked to see us sign both. Keane is ex-United and he knows all about how things work at the Theatre of Dreams, meaning he could have fitted in seamlessly.
Along with that, performance levels from both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling just haven’t been anywhere near good enough. I wouldn’t be too bothered if both of these guys were sold on because they aren’t reliable whatsoever – but as of right now, the duo are still on United’s books and we haven’t really been given any concrete information about potential moves away.
