Ajax have confirmed the sale of the versatile Dutchman Daley Blind, to Manchester United. Blind cost £13.8million and will sign on a four-year deal with an option for a fifth year. Ajax confirmed the news on their Twitter feed earlier this evening, but Manchester United are yet to confirm anything – probably to announce a double signing.
Blind will be a superb addition for Manchester United, purely due to his ability to play in numerous positions; Including left-back, centre-back and central midfield. At 24 he still has an awful lot of developing to do, and he could well prove to play a similar role to that of John O’Shea; a utility man.
