Manchester United Spaniard close to sealing move away from Old Trafford – report

Manchester United and Louis van Gaal brought in Victor Valdes on a free transfer just under a year ago, with the veteran expected to come in and get his fair share of games whilst remaining backup to David de Gea. However that hasn’t been the case, and he had a huge falling out with his manager.

It was thought that he would leave in the summer window, but it seemed as though no clubs wanted to take on his big wages, and we are still stuck with the 33-year old, but that might not be true for much longer.

Mundo Deportivo say that Victor Valdes is on the verge of joining Mexican league side Cruz Azul in the January transfer window, allowing himself to get back to regular playing time which is obviously huge for him at this point in his career.
