Manchester United Football Club gave a full debut to Cameron Northwick-Jackson away at Bournemouth over the weekend, when many thought Ashley Young would get the nod in the left-back slot. After the game, Young reportedly wasn’t happy with the decision of the Iron Tulip.
According to the Guardian, the 30-year old winger was left bemused at his exclusion from Louis van Gaal’s starting XI, despite being fully fit and ready to play in the game.
The English publication go on to say that Louis van Gaal hinted to Young himself that he was to be included, and this further upset the former England international. He didn’t even manage to get on the pitch from off of the bench, which seems odd when the likes of Nick Powell were brought on instead.
It makes you wonder whether the pair have had a falling out, because last season Young was one of Louis van Gaal’s go-to players in dire situations, and over the last few weeks he hasn’t even been able to get onto the pitch at all.
