Manchester United star man being targeted for shock move away: report

Serie A giants AS Roma are apparently plotting a sensational loan move to try and lure Anthony Martial to the Serie A for a year. That’s according to the Daily Mirror, who add that Manchester United are unlikely to be interested in a loan.

The report also adds that Roma could go back in with a permanent offer for the 21-year-old, thought to be worth in excess of £30million. The Italian club are looking to replace Mohamed Salah who joined Liverpool this summer, and they’ve seemingly set their sights on Martial.

However, I just don’t see this move happening in any way, shape or form. Jose Mourinho isn’t daft. Martial is one of the hottest talents in the world right now and although he had a mixed debut season under the self-proclaimed Special One, his ability is there for all to see.

With Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic gone, there will be ample opportunities for Anthony Martial to prove his worth this coming season; Both as a striker and out on the wing.

I’m fully confident that the man from France will hit the same levels that he did in his debut season under Louis van Gaal, and it all starts with him getting a good pre-season under his belt over the summer.
