Manchester United star striker unlikely to start against Ipswich

Manchester United’s attentions turn to cup competitions this midweek, with Louis van Gaal looking to exercise a few Capital One Cup demons against Ipswich: Following a 4-0 loss to MK Dons in their last fixture in this competition.

The manager will want to switch things up slightly, but it looks as though James Wilson won’t feature in the game after playing for the clubs U21s last night.

It makes no sense whatsoever, Wilson should either be in the match day squads or go out on loan, because letting him sit in the reserves will only hamper his development.

He shown plenty of impressive signs over the last twelve months, and with United’s lack of depth up top you do wonder just what he has done to upset Louis van Gaal, because he got closer to the starting line-up last season when we had plenty of options in the striker role.
