Manchester United Football Club have been without their captain Wayne Rooney for the last month or so after he picked up an injury against Sunderland. The 29-year old striker has been recovering from an ongoing knee issue, and was expected to return in March.
However, according to the Daily Mirror, Wayne Rooney will be missing for at least another month after suffering a setback during his recovery. The paper say that his knee concern hasn’t healed anywhere near as quick as the club initially thought which is a huge blow.
That means the England man might not play an awful lot of football from now until the end of the season, which must be a concern to Roy Hodgson and England who’ll be hoping he can get some minutes under his belt ahead of the European Championships this summer.
