Manchester United Football Club are set to hand the latest starlet to come through the academy, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, a new bumper contract worth £10,000-a-week. The news comes from the Daily Mirror, who say the 18-year old will be handed a 500% pay rise on his current deal.
Louis van Gaal has relied heavily on Borthwick-Jackson over the last couple of weeks, largely due to injuries in the full-back area. However when called upon, the Manchester-born defender has always put in an impressive display.
The young man now has a huge part to play from now until the end of the season, particularly due to long-term injuries including Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and now Ashley Young.
Hopefully he can continue this fine form from now until the end of the season, and really cement a full-time place in Louis van Gaal’s squad going forward.
