Fresh off the back of one of the best Champions League goals we’ve ever seen, Manchester United have now been linked with Saul Niguez. The Atletico Madrid man gave his side a slim 1-0 lead going into the second leg against Bayern Munich next week.
Now Mundo Deportivo, translated by Sport Witness, say that Manchester United are still interested in bringing in the 21-year old midfielder despite a failed bid in January.
Saul is believed to have a £35million release clause in his current contract, with United offering £15million in the mid-season transfer window.
United could go back in for a return bid when the window opens, but they better act quick. Mundo Deportivo add that the Spanish side are working on a new contract for the 21-year old which could include personal terms that have been ‘rarely seen’. Diego Simeone is obviously keen to get his new contract wrapped up before the summer transfer window officially opens.
