Manchester United striker sensation one goal away from breaking record

Manchester United were sent a lot of abuse when making a £38million move for the little-known Anthony Martial on deadline day, with the 19-year old labelled a flop before he even began his Old Trafford career – My how wrong they were.

The striker started things off superbly, scoring a fantastic solo goal on his debut against Liverpool. In his next game he thoroughly impressed against PSV without getting on the scoresheet.

Next up was a visit to Southampton, and he had two chances and took them both cooly, before coming on against Ipswich late on last night and once again finding the net.

Martial could be set to break a club record this weekend if he scores against Sunderland – he’d be the only Manchester United player to score in his first three Premier League appearances for The Red Devils. Not bad for someone who is apparently a flop…
