Manchester United have been hit with a new injury worry ahead of the tricky trip to Crystal Palace this coming Saturday. During the 0-0 draw (lost on pens) against Middlesbrough, James Wilson suffered what looked to be a leg injury towards the end of the first half.
After the game, Louis van Gaal confirmed to the media that Wilson did suffer an injury and the substitution wasn’t for tactical reasons.
His recent record spending time on the treatment table probably won’t fill Manchester united officials with confidence, because he clearly has plenty of talent in his locker.
Louis van Gaal clearly doesn’t seem that keen on Wilson, having rarely used the 20-year old striker this term – last night being his first start of the season.
At the end of the day its probably best for him to now leave Old Trafford on loan as he isn’t going to get many chances now we’re out of the Capital One Cup.
