Manchester United Football Club take on Tottenham Hotspur next Monday, as they look to put the Brighton & Hove Albion horror show firmly behind them.
The game against the Lilywhites is going to be extremely difficult, and things could have gotten even harder, with Jose Mourinho all-but-confirming that Alexis Sanchez will miss the game through injury; as he’s set to be out for one or two weeks ‘maximum’.
“I don’t know really. Let’s wait for the results of the studies, but I don’t think it’s a big thing. I think it will be one or two weeks maximum.” Mourinho told the official club website.
Sanchez had an excellent pre-season, he was probably our best player over in the United States. Many were hoping those performances will be translated to the bread and butter that is the Premier League; although he did struggle against Leicester City.
Now he’s out injured, this definitely won’t help his confidence. Thankfully, though, the problem doesn’t sound too serious and he won’t be sidelined for all that long. We need him back as soon as possible, because not only was our defence woeful against Brighton, our attack looked toothless, particularly in the second half when the pressure was on.
