Manchester United superstar continues resurgence with first international call-up this season

Manchester United’s only dependable goals output over the last month or so has been Anthony Martial.

The Frenchman scored twice against Chelsea, while netting against Newcastle United, Everton and AFC Bournemouth. His ability to find the onion bag, even when not playing well, is second-to-none at Old Trafford.

To my pleasant surprise, his good form has been rewarded by France manager Didier Deschamps. The World Cup-winning coach has recalled Martial to the national team for the upcoming November international break, ESPN report.

Martial hasn’t had a look-in since March, when he played in a friendly against Russia in the build-up to the 2018 edition of the biggest international competition in football.

The 22-year-old more than deserves to be back involved, and he’ll join a star-studded squad full of winners; which can only be a good thing for his development.

Hopefully, Martial gets his opportunity to start in at least one of the games, because we all know that when given the opportunity, the net is going to bulge more often than not, although displacing Kylian Mbappe or Antoine Griezmann in the team isn’t going to be easy…
