Manchester United superstar wants huge £72.8million contract to stay at Old Trafford: report

I think it’s common knowledge that Manchester United is the home of the best goalkeeper on the planet in David de Gea.

Now, the Spaniard is demanding a monumental sum of money to remain a Red Devil. That’s according to The Sun, per the Daily Express, who say that De Gea has demanded a huge £350,000-a-week salary, until 2023. That’d total a massive £72.8million!

If there is any single player that is worth that insane amount, it’s De Gea. In the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, the shot-stopper has been by far and away our best, most consistent player, and he is well within his rights to ask for pretty much whatever sum he wants.

When you have Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez on ridiculous sums of money, De Gea should well be matching those guys; particularly after the loyalty he has shown to us when Real Madrid came calling.

Logic suggests that United should just pay him whatever he wants and get this deal done. Let’s not drag this one out for the duration of the season and have everyone hitting the panic buttons. The longer this goes on, the worse it’ll be for all involved, as De Gea would then hold all the power.
