Manchester United head into their game against Watford this coming Sunday on the back of two hard to take defeats. The most recent of which took place in Rotterdam, where Feyenoord outfought the Red Devils to take all three points in the Europa League opener.
One man who played in that game is Eric Bailly, and once again, the Ivorian put in a calm and assured performance. However, he has given United an injury concern…
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 22-year-old is a doubt for the game after picking up an injury in the first half. Bailly was treated on the pitch during the game, but continued to move rather gingerly for the rest of the half.
He looked alright for the second 45, but perhaps the issue has recurred over the last 24 hours which isn’t good news for Jose Mourinho and his team.
If he is out, you’d imagine Chris Smalling will slot right in next to Daley Blind which wouldn’t be too bad, but losing Bailly would be a huge concern in the long-term.
