Manchester United target admits big-money move is on the cards

Although William Carvalho remains focused on giving his all from now until the end of the season for Sporting Lisbon, the 21-year old midfielder has admitted that a move to Manchester United could be on the cards in the summer. He also suggested Real Madrid were interested in him too…

This interview came after another impressive midfield performance from Carvalho, as he was heavily involved in Lisbon’s 2-1 victory over Braga in the Portuguese league.

Carvalho said:

“It’s nice being praised and to know there are some big clubs interested in me.”

“It could be Manchester United or Real Madrid. It’s just nice to have a great European club after me, but at the moment I’m just totally focused on Sporting and doing my best until the end of the season.

“At the end of the campaign, we will see what happens.”

Although he’ll cost a pretty penny, Manchester United desperately need reinforcements in the middle of the park. The duo of Tom Cleverley and Michael Carrick simply aren’t good enough to compete against the likes of Yaya Toure and Fernandinho, so United must break the bank to bring in world-class players.
