Manchester United and Chelsea look set to battle it out for the signature of former-Arsenal man Alex Song, claim the Express. Song is another player who has largely disappointed in the Camp Nou, and Barcelona are trying to move him on whilst he still holds some value in the transfer market.
The 26-year old is seen as surplus to requirements by new boss Luis Enrique, and the player himself would like a move back to the Premier League. However he would prefer a move to London, making Chelsea favourites for his signature.
You have to admire the way Chelsea have gone about their transfer business so far. They’ve identified the problem areas and got deals wrapped up as quickly as possible – no messing around like Edward Woodward.
