Manchester United and Arsenal have been given a huge boost by Borussia Dortmund’s CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke. The chairman has claimed that Ilkay Gundogan still hasn’t penned a new contract at the club, and he admits we do not yet know how it will turn out’. The 23-year old midfielder is in stunning form, and is wanted by some of Europe’s elite clubs.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have shown interest in the central midfielder, but it is believed that Real Madrid are in pole position for the players signature.
Borrusia Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke said:
“It is our absolute desire that besides Robert Lewandowski no other regular player leaves the club, only in the case of Ilkay Gundogan, we do not yet know how it will turn out. We would love to extend (a contract) with him.”
David Moyes simply has to spend come January, and brining in a player of Ilkay Gundogan’s calibre would be an excellent start, and the perfect way to improve our dire midfield situation.
