Manchester United target Koke not tempted by move

Atletico Madrid have suddenly emerged as one of the best teams in European football this season, and an integral part of that side comes in the form of 22-year old attacking midfield Koke. The 22-year old has recently signed a new contract in Madrid, amid talk that his future could lie with United.

Koke has been at Atletico since he was just eight years old coming through their youth system. His current side have a great chance of winning La Liga this year, and they are still in the hunt for the Champions League crown too.

When quizzed about his future, Koke said:

“I am very happy and I do not think about leaving the club right now,” he said.

“I am happy at home, I want to continue here and that is why I have a long contract.

“The rumours in the paper will have no impact on my game. I am young, but I am calm.

“Now is the best moment to enjoy being at Atletico. My future here will be long.”

Koke already has seven caps for his country, and looks very likely to have earned a place in Rio come the summer.
