Manchester United’s summer transfer window simply couldn’t have gone any better. Jose Mourinho made some outstanding additions to the first-team squad, and now his attentions have switched to the youth setup, and looking towards the future to bring in the hottest talents around Europe.
Reports in Italy suggest that Manchester United target, Gianluigi Donnarumma, will be handed a new contract at AC Milan to fight off that interest from Jose Mourinho, as well as several other top managers across Europe.
Donnarumma, 17, is one of the hottest prospects in the world right now, and it is extremely rare for someone of his age to break into a world class team and be playing on a regular basis.
That is exactly what the shot-stopper has done at the San Siro, playing thirty times for Milan last summer, as well as starting this campaign as their first choice.
On top of that, he has already been recognised at international level, having one full Italy cap to his name. He is also regarded as the long-term replacement of the legend that is Gigi Buffon – which are obviously huge shoes to fill.
