Manchester United are ready to activate Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke’s release clause, according to the Metro. His release clause, thought to be set at £48million is a huge amount of money, but Koke, 22, has proven himself time and time again this year.
Atletico Madrid have already refused to discuss selling the attacking midfielder, but if the release clause is met then there is absolutely nothing Diego Simeone’s side can do about it.
With Diego Costa looking Chelsea-bound, and Filipe Luis also looking likely to move, Atletico won’t want to lose three key figures from the title-winning season quite so quickly.
According to reports, United have already offered Koke £3million per season to make the move to Manchester, which is a significant increase on what he currently earns in the Madrid capital.
If there is a position United have players in abundance, its the attacking midfielder role, but Koke’s versatility means he could be an attractive proposition for the incoming boss Louis van Gaal.

Just random filler. Seems like anyone can speculate anything, and we’re supposed to believe it? Come on.
