Manchester United to battle Madrid for Borussia Mönchengladbach star

Manchester United are set to go head-to-head with Spanish giants Real Madrid, in the hunt for a German World Cup star. According to talksPORT, the two sides are battling it out for the signature of Borussia Mönchengladbach star Christoph Kramer, who is set to cost £8million to the eventual winner of his buyer.

Kramer is having a fine season for Mönchengladbach, and at just 23 he has a lot of developing to do before he becomes the finished article. It says an awful lot about the midfielders talent that he made it into the German World Cup squad, battling for a place in the side with the likes of Mario Gotze, Sami Khedira and Toni Kroos.

If he moved to Real Madrid, he’d have similar competition for a place in the side, whereas a move to United would almost certainly give him more opportunities to develop and grow. Any move isn’t anticipated to happen until the summer, and a lot can change in that time so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Would Kramer be a good signing? Leave you’re thoughts in the comment box below.
