Louis van Gaal is set to launch a move for his international compatriot, and one of the stars of the World Cup, Daley Blind. According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are keen on Blind, and his versatility is certainly a key factor in the deal. The 24-year old could cost United around £15million.
Blind can play left-back, centre-back and central midfield to an adequate level, and he’d be a more than useful utility man if United do land their man. The player himself still has reservations about his suitability to the Premier League due to his slim frame, and has admitted that a move to La Liga would probably be better for him. Although, the lure of Louis van Gaal may be too much for him to turn down.
Ajax are reluctant to sell Blind, but the Dutch club may have no say in the matter if Manchester United offer enough.
The Mail also go on to say that Marouane Fellaini will be given one final chance at Manchester United, after a super-sub cameo that included a last minute winner against Valencia last night.
