Manchester United are prepared to make Luke Shaw the highest paid teenager in Premier League history, claim the Daily Star. David Moyes and United are willing to pay the 18-year old £75,000 a week to tempt him into a move to Old Trafford, ahead of a move to the club he has supported since he was a child; Chelsea.
The left-back made his England debut against Denmark on Wednesday and made a huge impression on and off the pitch. His desire to play for his country showed when he received the call from Roy Hodgson, as he seemingly burst into tears with pride.
Shaw is the next huge talent to come out of Southampton’s famed academy that has produced players such as Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott, and the talented younger from Kingston Upon Thames is regarded as one of the best left-backs in the league already.
It is thought that he’d cost around £30m, due to the fact that he penned a new five-year deal at the Saints last summer, but everyone has their price.
