Manchester United Football Club have made a steady but non-impressive start to the season, with Louis van Gaal’s men sitting in third place as we head into the second international break of the season. However it looks as though the manager isn’t too happy and wants to strengthen further in January.
According to the Italian media outlet Il Tempo, Manchester United and Valencia CF are locked in a battle to sign SS Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia when the window opens.
Biglia, 29, is a regular in the Serie A sides starting XI whilst often playing for his native Argentina too, but he isn’t getting any younger.
He’d also cost a lot, probably over the £25million mark, which for a player of his age could be a concern to Louis van Gaal.
At the end of the day I’d much prefer us to look at the winger situation, or even add another striker before looking at the midfield.
